The Recall Rescue

Has your dog's recall mysteriously disappeared?

They know their name. They know what “come” means. Their recall is brilliant… until there’s another dog, an interesting smell, a squirrel, or apparently anything more exciting than you!

The Recall Rescue is a fun, practical clinic for dogs who have already learnt the basics of recall but need some help taking those skills into the real world.

Rather than simply calling your dog backwards and forwards across a field, we’ll look at why your dog chooses not to come back and teach you practical ways to build a recall that works when there are distractions around.

During the clinic we'll work on:

• Building more value in coming back to you
• Creating stronger connection and engagement outdoors
• Recalling away from distractions
• Using games, play and different rewards to strengthen recall
• Teaching your dog that coming back doesn’t always mean the fun is over
• Using the environment as a reward
• Emergency U-turns and getting your dog back when you really need them
• Understanding when not to call your dog
• Managing situations while your recall is still a work in progress

Because every dog finds different things distracting, exercises will be adapted to suit the individual dog rather than everyone working through exactly the same routine.

Who is it for?

The Recall Rescue is ideal for dogs who have previously learnt a recall but have become a little more… selective about when they respond!

It’s particularly useful for adolescent dogs, dogs who become absorbed in sniffing and exploring, and dogs who find other dogs, people or the environment much more exciting than their owner.

This clinic isn't about repeatedly shouting your dog's name louder.

It's about giving them a really good reason to choose you.
