Canine Control

We all want an obedient dog. One that responds to cues instantly and hangs on our every word, right? Well yes but we also want a dog that is well-behaved. And there is the difference. A well behaved dog manages themselves and makes good choices. They don't need to be told or asked what to do they just do it.

For example, if you open your front door what does your dog do? Do they rush out to see who's there? Do they drag you out the door to start their walk? Do you spend 10mins trying to get them to sit whilst you open the door and block the entrance with your body?  What if every time you opened the door your dog automatically sat or stepped back? Wouldn't that be cool? 

Or how about everytime your dog spotted another dog ahead of you, they checked in with you to ask permission to greet instead of racing off into the distance leaving you shouting their name in vain?

This is all achievable by training self control and rewarding great choices.
