This class is for older puppies (6 months +) or any dog that has completed our Puppy or Beginners class.

The class will include:

  • Building connection and engagement
  • Loose Lead Walking/Heelwork
  • Recall in distracting environments
  • Impulse Control
  • Creating calmness
  • Positions: Sit/Down/Stand/Middle
  • Fun tricks to help create focus
  • Settle training

Within these classes we work towards the Association of Pet Dog Training (APDT) Good Companion Awards Foundation and Improver Level. Certificates and rosettes will be awarded for each Grade.

We have taken ours puppy to classes with Lisa since he was 12 weeks old. Going to puppy, beginner and improver classes helped us and our dog so much. It taught us the essential life skills and also how to adapt to his ever changing needs as he grew up. We even had a 1-1 at home, and this really helped us understand his needs and how to better manage puppy problems. I can’t recommend enough! We will definitely be back for more classes.

We had a fantastic time on the Puppy course earlier this year and now just completed the 6 week follow on course and enrolled on the next 6 weeks!

I have had three puppies over the years who i have taken through IMDT training courses and this is the best of the ones i have attended.

A well structured syllabus and knowledgeable trainers enabling you to progress with your dog as well as providing interest for both the handler and dog with new topics and challenges each week
